Our aluminum glass garage door is gorgeous, but it’s also built with exceptional care to ensure years of security and easy-care living. High-end features make the Model 8850:

• Beautiful: Aluminum rails and stiles are designed with non-beveled edges and straight lines to give the aluminum glass garage door a true contemporary style.
• Durable: Constructed with anodized or powder coated aluminum structure, our aluminum glass garage door features reinforced fins and heavy-duty track and brackets for years of smooth, trouble-free operation.
• Weather Resistant: Tongue-and-groove joints prevent wind and weather from entering the garage. A flexible vinyl bottom seal ensures the aluminum glass garage door keeps dirt and elements from entering your garage.
• Thermally Efficient: Optional foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation up to 18'2" wide adds a U-factor of .30; with Low E insulated glass at a U-factor of .28.
• Guaranteed: Model 8855 offers a One-Year Limited Warranty on the aluminum and One-Year Limited Warranty on its glass.

Construction

1. Effective Joint Seals – Snug-fitting tongue-and-groove section joints help prevent wind and weather from entering the garage.
2. Reinforcing fins on all top sections, and as needed on intermediate sections, provide years of smooth, trouble-free operation. The fins are the extruded part of the door sections and are not visible through the glass

Optional Insulated Frame

Insulated rails and stiles are available as an option. Foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation fills the rails and stiles providing enhanced thermal efficiency that adds U-factor as low as .28 (R-value* of up to 4.06) on the door.

*Wayne Dalton uses a calculated door section U-factor and R-value for our insulated doors.

Choose Your Frame

The modern glass garage doors is available in two frame styles: standard and double-wide. Standard frames come in three widths with two, three or four panels across. Double-wide frames feature heavier outer rails. They come in four widths with two, three, four or five panels across.

*Due to the weight of this door, it is only offered in the 8" double-wide frame.

Panel spacing drawings are shown for illustration purposes and do not reflect actual rail and stile dimensions.

8" double-wide rails and double-end stiles apply only to larger glass garage doors and are not available as options for smaller single car garage doors. If you are ordering a 16’3” or wider door as well as a single door, check with your dealer to ensure that the door frames match. Contact your Wayne Dalton dealer if you have additional questions.

The Model 8850 modern glass garage doors is available in three anodized finishes—Clear (standard), Bronze and Black. Two painted finishes come in White and Bronze. Two powder-coated finishes are offered in dark Bronze and Black. In addition, homeowners may upgrade to a custom RAL powder-coated finish by choosing from approximately 200 color options.

Gleaming glass is at the heart of our stunning modern glass garage doors. Model 8850 is available with five gorgeous options. Choose glass in Clear, Obscure, Satin Etched, White Laminated or Tinted Glass in Green, Gray or Bronze.

Tempered safety glass, acrylic or solid panels are available in a wide variety of colors, tints and styles. Most panel styles are also available in both single pane and insulated configurations.
