We know, foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation is a mouthful, to be sure. Yet, it’s the hidden gem nestled inside our decidedly attractive classic steel garage doors. This type of insulation can improve your home’s thermal efficiency, block street noise and help the door operate more quietly.

Plus, we encase the polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation in some incredibly versatile material. Our Classic Steel garage doors come in a variety of stylish design options that mean you don’t have to sacrifice beauty for durability—or thermal efficiency.

Along with polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation, our Classic Steel garage doors are engineered for gorgeous, easy-care living. High-end features make them:

• Resilient: Three-layer construction means our doors are built to last. Model 9100 utilizes a ToughGard® backer. Integral struts add rigidity and strength for long-lasting, smooth operation. Wind load options with structural reinforcements are available for coastal areas and high-wind areas.
• Thermally Efficient: With polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation that boasts a U-factor* of .26 for Models 9100 and 9605 (R –value** of 10 for Model 9605 and 9 for Model 9100), our classic steel garage doors can improve your home’s thermal efficiency and block street noise. A bottom weather seal blocks draft and debris from the garage. (R-value of 9 for 7' tall doors; R-value of 10 for 8' tall doors.)
• Safe: With the TorqueMaster® Plus Counter Balance System, springs are nestled safely inside a steel tube to prevent the accidental release of tension and prevent injury. Our Classic Steel garage doors also feature anti-drop technology for added safety.
• Durable: An upgrade to the optional 25,000-cycle spring delivers more than twice the life of a standard torsion spring.
• Guaranteed: Our classic steel garage doors come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Available with WindSafe® wind load reinforcement built to withstand specific high-wind pressures to meet local building codes.

*Proper door selection is the responsibility of the homeowner. Please consult your local building code official, certified engineer or architect for wind load requirements in your specific location.

*U-factor is independently tested and verified per ANSI/DASMA 105 using solid doors and specific product sizes.

Classic Steel garage door Model 9100 is available in five stylish designs—Short Panel, Long Panel, Flush Panel, Vertical Short Panel or Vertical Long Panel. Doors outfitted with polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation come in four-panel 8’x7’ and five-panel 8’x8’ sizes. Ask your Wayne Dalton representative about additional sizes.

Choose from 31 window options for Short and Flush Panels options, 29 choices for Vertical Short Panel, and 22 options for our Long and Vertical Long Panels. Optional Window Placement

Horizontal Windows	Vertical Windows

Clear windows may be arranged vertically or horizontally on Short, Long and Flush panel designs. Up to 50% of the door can include windows. Windows placed in the bottom section of a door must use DSB 1/8”, or tempered, or 1/2” insulated glass. Vertical windows will be placed as a special order.

Not all window options are available with every panel style. Window options are not interchangeable between panel options. Window patterns are shown for a typical single-car door. Spacing of windows may change depending on door size. Not all windows are available in all sizes or all areas.

Glass

Glass is available in Clear, Tinted, Satin Etched or Obscure. Optional insulated glass is also available for improved thermal performance to work in tandem with your door’s polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation.

Hardware

Choose Your Hardware

Inspired by the artisanry of traditional blacksmiths, our decorative hardware collections lend a distinctive, yet subtle touch of individuality to your garage doors. Hinge straps, pull handles and other accent pieces inspired by the Old World and early Americana add a touch of rustic elegance to your Classic Steel garage door.

Knockers, corner brackets and clavos are a respectful nod to the decorative nails and studs craftsmen have used to accent entry doors for centuries. Every piece is forged from black powder-coated steel finished with a hand-hammered look.

Decorative hardware kits come with four hinges and two pull handles. Double car doors come with two sets of decorative hardware kits. Additional accent pieces are available to match or complement each collection. Pull handle fit in center stile is dependent upon design and size of door.
